About This Venue
Purple Glaze on South Peoria has been a Brookside fixture since 1994, and it remains the answer for Tulsa parents who want a birthday party that is not loud, not arcade-bright, and not running at FEC pace. The studio stocks thousands of unfinished ceramic pieces — mugs, banks, figurines, plates, ornaments — that kids paint at long communal tables, then leave to be glazed and fired. Each kid takes home a finished piece a week later, which doubles as the party favor.
Birthday parties run a $99 base studio fee plus a per-painter charge that covers the chosen ceramic piece, paints, glazing, and firing. The package includes a dedicated party host, instructions, and the studio’s full setup. Sessions run about an hour and a half for ages four to eight and up to two hours for older kids. The South Peoria Brookside studio takes parties for kids age four and up; a second location at 6528 E 91st covers South Tulsa families. Hosts bring their own cake, pizza, and drinks.
