Novel Mysteries

Novel Mysteries on East 6th, just east of downtown near the Pearl District, is the escape room Tulsans tend to recommend first when someone asks. The current rotation includes The Investigation Academy, Tiny’s Diner, Secrets of the Estate, and a few others, all in the 60-minute format with set design that goes beyond the usual lock-and-puzzle template — these are themed builds, not converted office rooms.

Birthday parties book the escape rooms back-to-back so the entire group plays together, and Novel Mysteries adds a private party room where the group reconvenes for cake and pizza after the game. Group sizes flex from 6 to about 16 across two simultaneous rooms. The format works for tween and teen birthdays where kids want to be treated like they’re old enough for something more grown-up, and it works just as well for an adult group where everyone’s tired of dinner-and-drinks. Booking two to three weeks ahead is recommended for weekend evenings.
