Angry Axe

Angry Axe was Tulsa’s first dedicated axe-throwing venue and still operates out of the white building at the southeast corner of 11th and Peoria, next to the famous Meadow Gold sign. The entrance faces the alley side, not Peoria — first-time guests almost always have to circle the block once. Inside, caged throwing lanes, scoring screens, and a casual lounge area give the space the standard axe-bar vibe, with a coach assigned to every group session.

Birthday bookings require a minimum of four throwers, with most groups running 8 to 16 across two to three lanes for a two-hour session. The coach handles safety, technique, and a tournament bracket that keeps everyone moving rather than waiting in line. Angry Axe is BYOB — guests bring their own beer, wine, or seltzer, and Angry Axe also sells beer and wine on-site to round out the spread. Most hosts order pizza in. Closed-toe shoes are required. Friday and Saturday evenings book up; weeknights are easier on short notice.
