Moylan Tranquility Iceplex

Moylan is one of the few public skating options inside Omaha city limits — most of the alternatives sit further out — and the location on Maple is convenient for west and northwest neighborhoods. The complex runs two NHL-size rinks plus a smaller studio rink, with public skate sessions every weekend and select weekday afternoons that double as birthday windows.

Birthday packages come in three tiers: Basic, Classic, and Platinum. All three include public-skate admission for guests, skate rental, and a reserved party space for cake and presents; higher tiers add longer party-room time, food, and Moylan-branded extras. Parents typically reserve the room for 90 minutes after the public session, which gives kids time to actually warm up before sitting down to eat. The rinks are concrete-and-steel arenas rather than decorated party spaces, so families who bring a few balloons and a tablecloth quickly turn the room into a recognizable birthday spot. Call at least a week ahead; weekend afternoon slots are the first to go.
