Vitense Golfland

Vitense has been a Madison family business since 1956, and the 14-acre Schroeder Road property is the most complete mini-golf-and-more operation in the area. Two outdoor 18-hole mini golf courses are the centerpiece, but birthday parties typically pair golf with batting cages, the driving range, the seasonal bumper-boat pond, the indoor playhouse, or a ride on the kiddie train. The grounds are large enough that a 25-kid party never feels crowded, and the on-site Watch Hill Restaurant handles food.

Party packages bundle two to three activities (mini golf plus cages plus a meal voucher is the standard combo), table reservations in one of the indoor or outdoor party rooms, soft drinks, and goodie bags. The venue books groups up to 300 for the bigger party rooms and corporate-style events, but most birthdays land in the 12 to 30 range. Outdoor activities depend on the weather — May through September is the strong booking window — but the indoor mini golf and arcade keep winter parties on the calendar year-round.
