West Sixth Brewing

West Sixth has anchored the Bread Box building on West Sixth Street since 2012 and remains the default Lexington brewery for 30th, 40th, and 50th birthday parties that want a relaxed, walkable downtown setting. The flagship taproom pours a rotating lineup of West Sixth IPAs, lagers, and seasonals alongside guest cocktails and wine, and the food comes from on-site Smithtown Seafood.

The Barrel Room is the venue’s dedicated private event space, tucked between the beer garden and the active production floor. It seats 50–60 with reclaimed wood accents, clay tile floors, original Rainbo Bread Factory subway tile, floor-to-ceiling barrels, and market lights — basically the Pinterest-board version of a brewery party room. Buyout pricing for the Barrel Room runs in the $400–500 range plus food and beverage minimums, which is reasonable for the space. Larger groups can also book the outdoor beer garden in warmer months. The Bread Box building shares space with Cricket Press, Smithtown Seafood, and a few other tenants, so guests can wander.
