About This Venue
Lexington Ice Center sits off Man o’ War Boulevard and is the city’s only year-round ice skating venue, which makes it the de facto answer for ice birthdays. Two indoor rinks run a public skate schedule most weekend afternoons, and birthday parties book a reserved table or party room rinkside while guests skate the open session. Skate rentals are included in most packages, and the staff has a stack of skating aids (the metal walker frames) for first-timers.
The same complex also operates 54 holes of outdoor biblical-themed miniature golf — a quirky local fixture with hand-painted scenes — which gives the venue a warm-weather option when families want a non-ice party. Three gymnasiums round out the complex for more athletic group birthdays. Pricing is on the budget end of Lexington venues, party room time is generous, and the operations are no-nonsense. The rink temperature is exactly what you’d expect, so jackets are non-negotiable for spectators. A reliable choice for the 7-to-12 age band.
