Topgolf opened its Des Moines location in West Des Moines and immediately became one of the metro’s go-to milestone birthday venues. The format is well-established: heated, covered hitting bays on three levels, microchipped balls that score automatically, and a full kitchen and bar serving everything from flatbreads to chef-driven entrees while you play.
Birthday bookings range from a single bay rental — two hours of bay time for up to six players, plus a food and drink minimum — up to fully buyout-style events in the private event suites. The format works equally well for a 12-year-old’s group of friends and a 40th birthday with cocktails and music, which is why it shows up so often on Des Moines event calendars. Bays book months out for prime Saturday evening slots, so plan early. The venue is open year-round thanks to the heated bays, even in January.
