The Gregory

The Gregory is the signature restaurant inside The Watermark Hotel on Third Street downtown — a historic 1920s bank building turned Autograph Collection property. The dining room blends original architectural detail (vaulted ceilings, period millwork) with a modern American menu, and it has become a default Baton Rouge pick for milestone birthday dinners where the meal itself anchors the evening.

Two private dining options handle parties of different scales. The Louisiana Purchase room seats up to thirty-two guests in flexible configurations and works for a forty-person cocktail-style birthday or a thirty-person seated dinner. The Vault — built into the original bank vault — is more intimate and makes a memorable backdrop for a smaller celebration of ten to twelve. Pre-fixe menus are coordinated through the events team, typically a week or two ahead. Walking distance to Tsunami’s rooftop and other downtown bars makes after-dinner extension easy.
