13th Gate Escape is operated by the same team behind 13th Gate Haunted House — Louisiana’s best-known haunted attraction — and the production values show. The downtown facility runs multiple themed escape rooms with set design, lighting, and effects more elaborate than most regional escape venues, drawing on years of immersive-theater know-how.
For birthdays, every booking is private to the host’s group: no strangers paired in. Pricing runs around $30 per person plus tax with a four-person minimum per room, so a tween or teen birthday typically books two adjacent rooms to fit eight to twelve guests, then meets in the lobby afterward to compare results. The location works well for combination evenings — escape room first, then dinner or drinks downtown. Hours stretch late on Friday and Saturday, and the booking calendar is online; popular themes can sell out a week or two ahead, especially around Halloween season when demand surges.
